Businesses in the eastern Fraser Valley were recognised recently for their leadership in diversity at the Rotary at Work event held on October 29, 2015. The event was aimed at addressing the employment rate for Canadians with disabilities, and to celebrate local businesses adopting inclusive hiring practices, from those who have been doing so for many years, to those who have just recently begun. The event’s speakers including representatives from employers speaking about the value they have found in their inclusive hiring experiences, as well as employees sharing their positive and life-changing experiences, finding meaningful employment within their community.
